A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Now based at Keystone Centre, the Health Visitors and District Nurses work together with the Surgery to attend to patients who are pregnant or housebound. We highly appreciate their cooperation and support to us and our patients. They can be accessed by contacting Reception or directly at Keystone Centre, Strood.
There are no Health Visitors attached to the Practice but mothers are automatically contacted by the local Health Visitor Service after childbirth and it is important to stay in touch with your local Team and seek assistance in all social and baby care immediately if need arises.
If there is a problem contacting the Service, please get in touch with the Surgery.
